Apple announced its new product launch event on September 15

On the evening of September 8, Apple announced the new product launch event that took place at 10am, 15/9 (US time). According to Bloomberg, the iPad Air 2020 and Apple Watch Series 6 will be the main characters of the event, not the iPhone 12.

Specifically, the invitation sent by Apple to the press revealing the event name is Time Flies, possibly a reference to the Apple Watch Series 6. This event, Apple only recorded as “Apple Event”, while the launch iPhone in recent years, Apple uses the phrase “Special Event”.

During the second quarter of financial statements in July, Apple representatives confirmed that the iPhone 12 series will appear several weeks later than every year.

Previously, rumors suggested that the iPad Air 2020 and Apple Watch Series 6 will be released on September 8. However, what was introduced on the evening of September 8 was just the time of the event, not the new iPad and Apple Watch.

Similar to the WWDC 2020 developer conference that took place in June, the upcoming event will be held online, influenced by the Covid-19 translation. The event can also be similar to WWDC 2020. The entire program will be filmed at the Apple Park headquarters, the product introduction will be presented by representatives of Apple.

Users can follow the event live on the Apple website, Apple TV app and Apple’s YouTube channel.

About iPad Air 2020, rumors say the product will have an iPad Pro-like design with a thin screen bezel, square frame, and remove the physical Home button to place the Touch ID fingerprint sensor on the power button. The device will support Apple Pencil 2nd generation stylus, equipped with A14 Bionic processor.

Meanwhile, the Apple Watch Series 6 is likely to be a slight upgrade over the Series 5 with a new processor, adding health-monitoring features like measuring oxygen levels in the blood.

At the end of August, Apple was found to have registered eight new Apple Watch models and seven new iPad models at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). Apple used to submit applications to register many models of iPad, iPad Pro, iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch and AirPods for EEC before launch.

With the iPhone 12 line, the machine is expected to have 4 versions, including 2 standard versions with 5.4-inch, 6.1-inch screens and 2 Pro versions (6.1-inch, 6.7-inch screen). All 4 are equipped with OLED screens, smaller screen defects, new designs, upgraded Face ID and A14 Bionic processor.

According to Bloomberg, Apple is also working on a smaller HomePod smart speaker and a hooded headset called the AirPods Studio to launch later in the year alongside the first Mac series with Apple Silicon CPUs.

In terms of software, the official iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 versions will be released in September, while watchOS 7, tvOS 14, and macOS Big Sur will release in the fall.
